Twenty years ago, while travelling along highway 180 from Flagstaff towards Grand Canyon, I stopped over at a shop to enjoy the view of Humphreys Peak.
The view looks like photo: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/F...ys_Peak_AZ.jpg

Now I could not locate the exact location along the highway, where this
view could be seen. Tried google map view and youtube time lapse driving,
but saw that most parts of the highway are blocked by trees.

I may plan to revisit the area in future to enjoy the breathtaking view.

Not exactly the same, but this view is pretty similar. Just use Satellite View to find the straight flat North - South segment, that has no trees.

Above pretty much is correct. I just drove that route 3 times in the last week. Where the yellow arrow is is flat land that is mostly cleared of trees to make way for some ranches. You look up and there is an unobstructed view of the mountain for about 10 miles. Anywhere along that stretch you could snap a picture that would approximate the wiki commons one. Once you get past that arrow area you are back into trees and 180 swings you away and around Humphreys until you get into the edge of Flagstaff. For about 5 miles you can see the Humphrey's pretty unobstructed there too (right before you come in to where you turn off for Snow bowl, though it would be a different angle from the front side.

Thanks Cloudy Dayz and Infocyde for the pointers. I will try google map and youtube again based on this location north of the peak and viewing in south eastern direction.

At the 6th minute in Flagstaff to Grand Canyon lapse drive video, I can see a cleared area when looking east. Maybe that is the location.

I can't look east in the video but your google map location showed the view clearly. Will try to look for the view near Snow Bowl.

Yeah that is it, just it is heading out of town instead of in, but that is the stretch of road. From that angle the Humphreys would be behind and to the right.

When I look at the Snowbowl scenery photo,
https://www.snowbowl.ski/sites/defau...n%20Summer.jpg

it looks quite similar to Humphreys Peak photo, quite difficult to tell the difference. The view can be seen at around North Roundtree Road/Highway 180.

My memory could not tell for sure which I have seen on that Saturday afternoon 20 years ago. Can't remember the names either. But I remember that the place had a prairie like environment and was near to a small community a few miles from Flagstaff.

During that time, we were just passing through to get to Grand Canyon and did not bother check the map on the names of the peaks. There was no Google Map then. 'Humphreys' and 'Snowbowl' only pop up when I search the net recently.

I used to live out there in the backside of the peaks. If you go to Kendrick Park (about 6.18 in the video above) and turn onto 514 and go a few miles back, the view of Humphries is spectacular.
