To any residents of Sedona or Oak Creek Canyon:
Are the leaves starting to change yet? Thanks!

They are starting to change. Will be about a two month process. I believe. I was just there about 3 weeks ago and they had not and it was in the high 90's. We have had cooler temps now and I believe fall is on its way!

I just got back to town after 2 weeks away. I left with high temps in the 90's, with AC on, and returned to lows of 48 and highs in the 50's and low 60's, with heat on. I wish we had more of a happy medium for at least a couple of weeks .

I have not been up the canyon lately so can't tell you aobut the leaves, but these temps must have done something to the leaves by now so I would imagine them changing.

The aspens at Snowbowl are usually lovely.

In Prescott here just south of Sedona of course.
Our trees and such are just getting started. Sedona is lower and I am thinking they may be behind a bit.
But the last 3 nights here have been between 25-30° so it won't be long.
This is a pix of a tree right across from me now.

Just drove down OaK Creek Canyon yesterday and it was gorgeous gold all the way down, probably nearing the end though, as some trees looked pretty barren and many leaves were moving from gold to brown...
