Hi all-

I'm wondering if there are places in Sedona to lap swim? I see that there is a public city pool which would be OK when they are open. Are there any other places like health clubs or YMCA anything that offer swimming memberships?

Other options would be lakes, but it looks like Lake Mary is the closest. Is open-water swimming in Lake Mary even allowed? Anyplace else?

Thanks!

I don't know if you'd want to swim in Lake Mary. :-)

You might check out the Sedona Racket Club, the Community Center (mostly populated with elderly people who resent anyone under 30) and Los Abrigados. There are other places in the Village of Oak Creek but I assume you're looking at Sedona proper.

Thanks for the reply! VOC is where I'm living, so that area would be the best. I understand Lake Mary is pretty cold, but I'm competing in a Triathlon up there is a couple of months so I'll probably go up there a few times just to check it out (I have a wet suit and my wife will accompany me in a kayak).

Is the community center the public pool by the school in West Sedona? I think that may end up being the best choice because it's a bit bigger than a lot of other places.

It's behind the 'do it yourself' car wash in West Sedona, I believe you take Harmony to get there and then make the first right but don't quote me. The one at the top of Posse might be a better choice.
