Why would someone that does not "live for the beach" want to leave home, job, etc.?

Exactly what I would ask.....

My husband has a great job here, we love our home and what we have. Besides, even if the oil came here (which it may not ever do) it would get cleaned up eventually.

if the beaches get ruined, you dont think that would spill over?

how many hotels would wither and die? restaurants? other businesses?

it would have a domino effect...

And some would be buying up properties left and right from the people who panic thinking it wouldn't get cleaned up.

A few short years down the road the oil is gone (I don't really think it is going to spread this way in large amounts anyway) and then you cash in.

So what's your point? Why are you always posting these "polls" anyway?

Honestly, the photos of oil on beaches in Pensacola don't look as bad as I thought they would. It is a big problem but it looks like it could be cleaned up relatively easily. The bigger problem is the oil that may be in the water just off the beach. They will need to suctiont that out.

The only oil here in Vero Beach is suntan oil and I want to leave for other reasons, namely family ties. You can't be running away every time red tide, oil, or a hurricane laps at your shores.
