1. North Florida winter lows can get into the high to mid-30s in January, which also makes for some cold mornings if you're up and headed to work at that time.

2. After a couple years here, many peoples' bodies seem to start to adapt to the heat at the expense of being able to handle cold.

3. You may end up regularly at a place where they keep the air conditioning in the low 60s. Aggressive AC is really common in the state.

So keep the sweaters, a pair of thin gloves, and one medium weight coat for those cooler winter nights. The Panhandle gets even a little cooler than Gainesville in winter, and I've got a LL Bean barn coat with reomvable liner that I use quite a bit from December-February, especially at night/early morning.

I'm looking for a discount cleaners in Gainesville. Some place that doesn't charge an arm and a leg to clean ladies' blouses and dresses.

Can anyone recommend something?

Palm Coast is a nice suburb, I have lived here, moved away once, hated it, had to come back! It's a retirement community and young families. I love raising my kids here..sure you could find something within your price range..and new homes too! Bunnell..ya some of it isn't as nice unless you are looking to live in the country!
