My family and I are relocating from Pittsburgh to the Lower Keys. Because of work and school, we must remain within communting distance to Key West. We are looking in any area between Key West and Big Pine Key. Because we are so far away, I am trying to do as much apartment/home searching as possible online prior to heading down to finish the search. Any advice from anyone who knows of good areas, available apts or homes for rent, or where to find this info would be greatly appreciated. We have a 2 1/2 year old son as well, so anyone with family friendly advice would be much appreciated as well. Thank you!

It's a tough area to find rental housing in, especially what would be considered "traditional family housing". There are areas of the Keys with family-style rental housing but they'll be far outside of a comfortable commute (Marathon and Islamorada). Though you'll find a smattering of listings in Cudjoe Key or Stock Island. I sent you some listings via "direct message" on City-Data..check your inbox.

Thank you very much for the listings. I've discovered in my searching that it isn't the easiest place to do online scanning for apts/housing lol. Thank you for the help tho, it's much appreciated.
