Hopefully it will go down. Scott needs to start attracting manufacturing here like so many other southern states have (you know, the states that took all the manufacturing from places like upstate new york).

Obviously this forum (poll) doesn't represent the political views of most Floridians.

Yep, it's a tough year to be a Democratic candidate. It seems that just saying you are anti-Obama is enough to get a ton of votes these days. We'll see a year from now how "Let's get to work" is panning out.

I'm really excited to see all these Republicans get in. Rubio is ok, Scott on the other hand, NOT ok IF he is the winner. But hey, "Lets get to work", what a load of bs... What I hope is this. All these tea party bandwagon politicians take seat, in a year everything is still a total mess, and they look pretty stupid. What will happen if it's still as bad as it is or WORSE, is the fingers will still be pointed at Obama for ruining the economy, when intelligent people know how it got to where it is...

Actually it does quite accurately. Let's see: around 47% for Sink, around 53% not for Sink.

Do you think that most people who voted for Scott did so with positive conviction?

For as bad as the republicans are, and this apparently next Florida governor in particular is repugnant, the majority of the electorate views the democrats as just as bad if not worse.

This poll very accurately reflects that view, which in turn is quite accurately reflected in the actual results.

Personally I voted for a third candidate and I notice that, in the event, it appears that neither of the demopub-repubocrats received 50% or more of the vote, the first time this has happened in several decades, so I'm glad that the third-party vote influenced the outcome in that way, regardless of which of the two sides of the same coin comes up on top in the final count (last checked, according to Politico, 99.4% precints reporting, Scott 48.8% vs Sink 47.8%, quantitative difference around 53,000, third-party 3.4%, the spoiler!)

Good Luck!

The Republicans won big, but the Democrats still control 2/3 of the government. The economy is still in Obama's court. He needs to lean more towards the center and work with a split Congress. He can not play hard ball and veto every bill Congress puts on his desk. If he does, we'll have to endure more pain for several more years until the Republicans completely control the government in 2012. Keep an eye on Rubio. We may soon have a local Cuban-American President or Vice President. Wow!

How many Tea Party candidates do you think won? It is not as if 3 or 4 members of Congress can make that big a swing. How is it making anyone look stupid?

And please tell us how the economy will have gotten to where it will be instead of throwing out veiled references as to the cause.

Are you trying to say if the economy does not improve it will be the fault of the Tea Party?
