Tents are for people who die of heat exhaustion in the summer months... ;-)

Speaking of deer, I had 2 close encounters driving last night going from Hernando County to Pasco County and back.
Both did make it safely across thankfully, although the one made me do some off-roading with my truck to avoid it.

Florida has awesome fresh fish and seafood restaurants. My new favorite seafood place in the Tampa/St Pete area (Keegan's on Indian Rocks Beach) sells a dozen fresh Oysters for $8.95. In the Northeast US they cost $2.00 a piece on average...yep, $24 a dozen!

Climate: at least when it gets cold here, you know there's a break from it just around the corner. Some say it's too hot in summer but it's still pleasant in the morning and evening hours then.

Entertainment: From the neighborhood yard sale to Pro sports teams and world class theme parks and everything in between........if your bored in Florida there's no excuse and your simply not getting out enough.

Basing it on where i moved from (northern Illinois) :

No more snow. Much milder winters.
Strong Christian Culture (the Panhandle).
Close to fantastic beaches.
People more friendly , outgoing,
Cost of living much lower.
Easier to make new friends.
You can sit on your deck in your T-shirt when its only 57 f. outside and the sun is shining.
