I am looking to move back to Florida either this summer or next. I am looking at suburb's of Gainesville, such as Keystone Heights, Alachua, Highsprings, etc. We do have children so would like a safe area, but would like to be close enough to Gainesville to enjoy the concerts, sports, etc. Thank you.

Smile Gainesville sub's

You might want to check out the town of Waldo and we have heard that there school is really great and the crime rate is very low.

Alachua & High Springs are both wonderful small towns where you get the best of both worlds, but unfortunately real estate prices have gotten really high and it's become quite expensive to live. The same goes for Micanopy on the south end. Lacrosse is still (relatively) inexpensive, but doesn't have the business the other's boast. Honestly, I'm not sure about Keystone Heights. I recommended the area for my parents to check out before we decided to move, but I never found out any details. The only negative I have for certain is my adversion to the East side of Gainesville.
