Hi all-

I posted before but no one responded. It is very likely I will be moving to the keys in the next month or so. I would really like info on where to look for rentals? I will be working in the ISLAMORADA area so I need a 1 bedroom apartment preferably that is in that general vicinity....I was thinking Islamorada or Tavernier area. Any suggestions on good websites to look on or other ways to locate apartments from a distance? I am also willing to just rent a room or to have a studio. I need affordable housing not crazy vacation rental prices! Thanks!

Try these sites www.trulia.com www.realtor.com you could google "moving to the keys" and see what you get...I would try looking for an extended stay hotel that offers a kitchen or kitchenette...this way you could move down and take alittle more time to find something that might be better suited to your needs...

call a local upper keys realtor and ask them about "year round" rentals or check out the local newspaper "the keynoter" right now till November is the "off season" you may be able to find a place from now till November at a discount rate as long as you move out by November 1st so they can rent it to the "vacationers" craigslist is also an option but I would be suspect of anyone asking for a cash or money order deposit!
