Never mind Facebook, that's why I deleted my account ... too many people posting their every move.

Well a little advice about "bugs" ... we're into love bug season #2 now. Make sure you get those bugs off your vehicles or the paint will be ruined.

Glad you're happy here after 3 months ... like I said earlier, please post back in a few years and let us know if the thrill is gone.

And less then 100 post since I have been in Florida.

Duh.

Well, I grew up in NYC and I met my share of people with questionable morals, values & backgrounds. Met a few in FL too.

Indeed. Well, again, not only a FL thing. Lot's of fools in government.

How they stay in office befuddles me though.

Is fiction your favorite type of literature?
Just asking.
I like it, too.
There is a wonderful novel called "Alas, Babylon" about Florida.
You might draw some parallels.

re: the bugs. i have not seen 5 lb ants. my husband, however, did find one on our porch the other day that was about 2 inches long with a scarily large abdomen.
i have had roaches fly at my face and crawl up the shower drain scaring me straight into the hallway soaking wet. they weren't 10 lbs, mind you, but still not a welcome sight.
we get rattlesnakes in our breezeway about 3 or 4 times a year. they seem to like it when the weather's really nice.
we've had a couple scorpions, too.

no exaggerations. just wanted to clarify the bug thing.
