I hear a lot of talk that UF girls can't compare to FSU girls. I would think it's about even or would give a edge to UF, when it comes to reputation. On the other hand, this kind of makes sense when you take into account that UF has a much lower acceptance rate than FSU. Most very hot girls tend to be not so smart. But if this is the case, I'm hesitant to transfer to UF, even if the academics are top notch. Stupid, I know, but I don't want to be around uglies.

Just remember...

Regardless of girls on campus, In Gainesville you're a decent drive from the Tampa Bay area and Orlando, In Tallahassee you're not a very decent drive from anywhere but the beaches and Alabama/Georgia.

I realize that. Tallahassee is just too far away from almost everything, isn't ranked as high academically.

Another question, would you say Tally or G-Ville is a nicer city?

Tallahassee is a larger city, more diverse, possibly more things to do and almost certainly a better place to find jobs. Gainesville isn't exactly a cultural mecca but if you're a kid and are looking for a real college experience (living on campus) then UF would be a better choice imho. I think it would be worth being closer to places like Orlando and Tampa for weekend trips to get school work off your mind.

You can only go to the beach so many times..

I agree. I live outside of Orlando now and do love the area. Tally would be too far from home for me. G-Ville is still close enough to the beach and close to the beautiful springs, which I really want to check out.

You should also check out UCF and USF, they're both pretty good schools as well whos athletic programs are still on the rise..

I was considering UCF for quite a while, but I'm looking to get into dental school in the future, and since the only public dental school in Florida is UF's, I'm going to try for UF.
