Hello everyone,

I'm interested in moving to Florida (the Orlando metro area). I visited the area a month ago and fell in love with it. I was curious to see if there was anyone else on the forum that has moved to Florida from another state. Are you glad you made the move or did you regret it? What do you like most about Florida? And what's the overall quality of life there?

It's harder to find someone born and raised here, wife's mother is a native Floridian from south of Ft Meyers area.

I on the other hand moved here in early 90's and have lived in Mt Dora, Wekiva Springs, Lake Mary and now Longwood. Love the weather, wife and I mountain bike, thinking of getting a Harley as we both rode in our younger days, lots to do on the weekends, but as of late don't like driver courtesy.

Glad I moved and yes I'm very happy.

Oh and did I say no state or personal property taxes?
