Yours will be frozen and not flowing very well soon and you can come down and enjoy ours.
No Thanks. In that area , you actually think you'll be using that pool all winter?

Maybe if you would have said January, we'd get it ...

Funny because in Cincinnati it will 77 on Tuesday and 81 on Wednesday...gee bring out the winter coats.

The read some people post here that Florida is the poorest state in America is of course wrong.

Personally what would be a better place?
I didn't see the list. Would you happen to know who #1 is.

It doesn't surprise me that Florida is not one of the poorest states. There are a lot of rich people in the state and it's a great state to put your assets for tax purposes. There are a lot of wealthy retirees, too, that get more in pensions than a lot of Southerners make per month.

On the other hand, although it looks like the poorest states are in the South there is a very low cost of living in those states as well. You may make big bucks in New York but what are your costs, your taxes?

Just food for thought.

Yes, most of the winter for sure. We had the heater checked out a few days ago.

We have been in Florida many times during the winter and swim in the pools.

We spent many years at Disney for New Years and had no problem being in the pool.

Most have their inner reasons but that is ok.

Then again if you would read the idea of the post you would catch onto the fact that we were talking about the entire winter, not just September.
Really ? Only a select few BBQ in September in Ohio ?

This what you wrote ....

Something we could have never done in Ohio at this time of year.

This time of year is September, not winter ! I'm done with your posts, as most of them are misleading and self-promoting.

Agreed. Shows how much some people know about Ohio or the north in general. Nobody has "lanai's" in the north. They have patios. And yes, BBQs, swimming in heated pools and nice breezes all happen in September because it's WARM (not hot and humid like it still is in FL). When it's finally warm in FL for a few months in winter, the pools need to be heated for most to enjoy, especially if you've lived in FL for awhile.
