Hey, I am from out-of-state (UT) & my family is looking to move to FL within the next six months to a year. I need some family-friendly city ideas near the Orlando area. Just some good areas to raise small children. (I have a six yr. old & a 1 yr. old.) Schools, entertainment for children, safety, etc. Just all the pros & cons included please. My husband will be working in Orlando. Any suggestions?

For quality schools, family-friendly environment and overall safety check out the northern suburbs of Lake Mary/West Sanford, Oviedo or Wekiva Springs/Sabal Point in Longwood.

Nothing personal against the OP, but does anyone use the search function here ? There have been hundreds of posts asking the same things ... good schools, safe, where to raise small children, etc.

Thanks Kyle for the help. I will have to look into it. I am thankful for *any help. That's why I submitted a question.

And this is what comes up from your link...

Sorry - no matches or filtered words used in the search query. Please try some different terms.

I find it's just easier being helpful and answering the question.
