I got my proposal today. Of course they jacked up the property values here, and want to RAISE my taxes by 800.00 Does anyone know the exact details on the Governor's property tax "reduction" plan?

I haven't understood a lot of the things you have said in the past. How do "They" $crew you out of your homestead?

Have you pulled up your page on your Property Appraiser's website?

(My neighbor thinks he's homesteaded even though I've show him he's not - it's right there online - the deduction is either calculated in or it's not.)

It says you are homesteaded although I didn't see a SOH value. It looks like you are taxes on the full value minus the $25,000 exemption.

Market value went up 41,000; assessed value up a little over 2000; taxes down $54 -- with proposed budget changes. I seriously cannot complain though and definitely will opt to continue the SOH benefits. Lake County.
