My husband's company is entering the Florida market and he may be relocated to help open stores. We may or may not have the option to choose between Orlando and Tampa and I am trying to figure out which will be the best fit. Before we were told about Tampa, I was looking in the Orlando area and decided Seminole county (specifically Oviedo or Winter Park) would be good fits but I'm not sure. Here is some info:

--Our home budget is approx. $150K
--My 11 year old dd is heavily involved in musical theater, so her priority is good opportunities for auditioning for shows and taking theater/voice classes
--My 9 year old has special needs (epilepsy and learning disabilities); she is mainstreamed for special classes but in resource for her academic subjects, so our priority for her is a good school system
--I work from home and dh will have a job, so that is not currently a concern
--We prefer a suburban area with low crime

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You might check out Casselberry's Lake Howell school district which has an excellent middle school (Tuskawilla Middle School) that feeds to Lake Howell High School's Performing Arts/Theater/Broadcasting Department. The school zone is roughly west of Tuskawilla Road and north of Red Bug Road where you will find nice 4 bedroom 2 bath homes in your price range. It's a nice area convenient to the 417 Expressway for your husband's work as well. Is he by chance with Trader Joe's? They're due to open throughout the state supposedly over the next 12-18 months. Can't wait!

I've read a bit about it but was kind of preferring to be closer to whichever city we end up with, especially since it sounds like traffic is a big issue everywhere. And what is with sink holes? Another thread was discussing sink hole areas and that they were shutting down roads? Is there an area we should avoid due to them?
