They arent "invading", they are being bred by idiots and being released into the wild when they outgrow their "cuteness"

Forget the everglades...and forget the alligators...for a large snake can live almost anywhere...which includes under your house where it is nice and warm for them in the event of a cold spell...about the only thing that kills them naturally...

On a recent TV special they told a story of how a pet Python had gotten out of it's cage and killed the owner's child as she sleep in it's crib...luckily it was not hungry at the time...on another special they had a story of two young children (8 - 10) playing in the woods by their home...when a larger snake dropped out of a tree killing the child and then eating him...I believe in Indonesia...since neither the snake or the child were found...they have created doubt as to what happened...but I am sure that if a 16 plus foot snake is living under your house and your small child comes out to play...it will be a different story....

What's really crazy is that some of the worst offenses of new species introduction (starlings, kudzu, nutria, etc) were done on purpose. Pineapple in Hawaii is about the only one we got right (just wouldn't be Hawaii without Mai Tais )

Dont forget Brazilian Pepper

Kudzu I think is the worst. It has gotten as far North as West Virginia. It's really taking over in the mountains and it's an absolute shame.

In the late spring I was once in a kudzu field when it was dead calm - no wind - and there was rustling all around. It grows so fast you can hear it. This is not a joke; in the spring, it grows a half an inch an hour sometimes.

Rusty I recently tried some Python and it was a lot like fried Catfish, hell I guess if you are hungry and it's available you may as well take advantage of it!
