Specifically, the places surrounding Air Force Base. How do you compare these two places.

1) The people (ethnicity, culture, education level, etc.)

2) The weather (I guess there are less hot summer months in Tampa)

3) The atmosphere (culture, things to do, etc.)

4) Housing Cost (owning single home or townhouse)

Homestead is a small town/suburb of Miami. It is pretty far from Miami it is not like you can head in for a movie or drink at a bar whenever you want. Tampa be itself is a city with things to do. Homestead is pretty rural and has some crime problems. However for being driving distance from Miami. I dont know 30-45mins w/o traffic to get to Miami. It does have some decent sized homes and lots for good prices. If you do not mind living 45mins from the city, 30mins or so from some dense urban suburbs Homestead is not bad. (driving mins w/o traffic)
But if you talking directly about the City of Tampa and the City of Homestead the two can't be compared.

There is no comparison. Homestead is ghetto nation. You really want to avoid that place. Everything you listed is better all around in Tampa. Please go to Tampa and don't look back.

Tampa. Homestead is too far from Miami to take advantage of the city life there.

What's the ethnicity like in Homestead compare to South Tampa? I am talking about the Air Force areas in both of these locations.
