Im 22 and I am currently going to community college. I am a white caucasion male. Im from a subbarb of detroit Michigan. But last year I moved down to Orlando fl for school. I went to Valencia College. I liked living in Orlando met lots of nice people some of whom are some of my best friends now. There was always alot to do. Espcially with all the theme parks and the night life downtown was amazing. I dont think I want to move back to Orlando in August when the school year starts again. There was just to much crime and two many homeless people. I would like to stay in Florida but be closer to the beach/water but still have alot of things for young people to do. Also I have a golden retriever dog so the area would have to be dog friendly. Im looking for an apartment in a nice area I could spend the max 1500 a month for either a 1 or 2 bed room apartment that is dog friendly. I dont want to live in a retierment comminity or w alot of families. When I lived in Orlando I lived in a nice area called windermere but there were way to many families in the apartments I lived in. All the nice areas in Orlando had families. It would be a plus to be an area such as a planned community or a beach town with resturants/bars near by. It could be close to a downtown area. Parks or alot of outdoor areas that are dog friendly would be a huge plus. I would also be interested in finding a job working in a retail setting selling clothing of somesort. Any thoughts on a city in Florida that meets some or all of these requirments.

Check out Hollywood. The Downtown/Young Circle area is a thriving area with lots of restaurants, bars and shops and is pretty dog friendly with a good number of outdoor cafes and park space. There is a great off-leash dog park (Poinciana Park) in the neighborhood also. Hollywood even has a "dog beach" where dogs are allowed off-leash to romp in the water and along the beach where a six month pass is $30.
