If you had you choice between the three developments, which one would you choose? Schools being a top priority. Thanks for any help on this.

Jaust,

Hi, I agree schools are the top of the list with priorities concerning a move. Black Diamond and Olympia's High School is Palm Beach Central. From all I have read and the opinion of others concerning this school it does not have a good reputation. The address for the two sub-divisions is Wellington and some automatically think this is the "old" Wellington schools. Those have a very good rating and reputation. Canyon Lakes in Boynton is very close to unincorporated Lake Worth and the High School there is Park Vista. From what I understand it is a older school but, has a much better reputation. The scores are pretty good there also. I spoke with some of the people in the school(were planning on moving down sooner than it is happening)and they are very helpful. Canyon Lakes is beautiful!! Took a look at it when it was first going up(we loved "down the road" Isola Bella Estates). With the market the way it is now I feel you could get a real good deal on a brand new home. There is a lot of inventory in there that is not occupied. Good Luck with your move, it is such a beautiful area!!

Thanks for the info, ParK Vista High seems to be pretty good from what I hear but what about the Odessy Middle school zoned for Canyon? Not so great things unless i am being misled.

Jaust,

Hello, again. I didn't know that Odessy Middle School was zoned for Canyon Lakes. I always thought that Christa McCauliffe(spelled wrong)was the middle school for the area. I am gonna check it out though.

Park Vista is not an older school, it opened in 2004.

PBCboy,

Hello! Thanks for the correction, It is the middle school that is old looking, Christa McCauliffe not Park Vista High. I guess with all my research now for what seems like forever I got confused. Thanks for keeping me on my toes with the advice. Take Care!

My opinion would be forget PBC High school, look into developments in Wellington, they have some nice ones if you are looking for newer homes, like Binks Forest, Pine Trace, etc. Those schools are much better!!!

Our family loves living in Black Diamond at Wellington. It's beautiful, safe, and has very large quality homes at reasonable prices. The homeowners are friendly and there is so much to do nearby-shopping, parks, polo fields and the airport. We can live anywhere but we chose to call Black Diamond at Wellington home. Good luck in your home search and I'm certain you too will love Black Diamond.
