Not really, at least for Sebring. There is NO interstate that runs through sebring. The only lifeline is US-27, so it makes it a solid 1 hr 15 mins to either Tampa or Orlando proper.

Lehigh at least has some proximity to I-75

If not for I-95, I-4, I-75, I-10, just about every town in FL would be like Sebring or Avon Park.
Before the interstates, if you wanted to get anywhere in FL, you had to use U.S. 1, U.S. 27, U.S. 301, U.S. 41, U.S. 19. You would drive through some of the towns and wonder, why is this here?' If you want to see meaningless, drive around Northport or Cape Coral. Huge areas of land that were developed in the 1960's where all that was sold was an 80x125 lot. No water/sewer, electric, phone, TV service, police, fire, infratructure for schools, shopping or anything else.

At least Cape Coral has a waterpark (seasonal though)

I think the area around North Port-Englewood is kinda nice, Manasota Beach is a nice beach, about North Port itself, I see as a small town...

I believe what makes me personally choose Lehigh is that it is a big area with a lot of potential wasted, it is becoming very attractive to Cubans from Miami as well as Puerto Ricans from Orlando in combination with rednecks from the north and not to be offensive but I don't know if that combination is a good idea. Is like a big hybrid of Hialeah, Kissimmee and poor areas of the Deep South. Not to be offesive, again, but these people have not made the respective zone mentioned, nice zones...

As far as North Port goes it is the older original part of town which has water/sewer. We have a second home in NP and find it a very relaxing, quiet, hassle free place to go to when we can. There is a lot of open space and plenty of parks and greenery and it is close to several beaches. The city services are very good-and we are near Sarasota when we want to visit. Also the demographic seems younger than other nearby places. Kayaking and biking are popular around here. People who live/work/visit and play here do not think they live in a meaningless place at all. Just sayin'

Avon Park
Avon Park=Yuck. Sebring is not bad.

I would say Belle Glade is the most meaningless. The town is very dirty, violent, and poor. Unemployment is also high in the city. It is a shame and I really wish the town would improve. Nobody deserves to live like that. Pahokee is almost as bad to.

Belle Glade, Pahokee, Kissimmee, Deltona (I like Sebring- cool, quiet town with the big lake in the middle of it - I like it)... Also Bithlo...and I'm sure there are a ton in North FL.

That's like saying getting hit in the shin is less painful than a punch to the face...

They are literally next door to each other and deader than dirt

Virginia Gardens. I never really understood the point of this town. Apparently back in 1947 it was created by 50 people who wanted to be able to ride horses, so they left Miami Springs, where horse riding wasn;t allowed, and created VG. Today this teeny tiny little town is about as meaningless as it gets.

There's many meaningless places in Florida but the most meaningless would be Estero, FL. It's a place that's designed for the rich, but it's so dead and spread out, no one actually lives here because most are seasonal residents.

The people who do live here are old, depressed because they had a bad life, and spread that attitude to anyone they can find. They have the immaturity of a 5 year old but in a 65 year old body driving a huge SUV taunting other drivers.

People are so rude and snobby, and flaunt so much, but for no purpose because this place is a wanna-be South Florida, a wanna-be Palm Beach County, etc. There's absolutely nothing (and I mean nothing. There's shopping and dining, an arena, a couple of things here and there...) but they are ONLY open during the daytime, and are still so far to get too. You waste so much gas just trying to get food.

And not only is the lonely-ness here terrible, the people you do find here (which gives you a sense of relief because this place is so dead) are so ignorant, rude, in-genuine, unfriendly and outspoken about their dumbness (that they don't understand!).

Meaningless to the core. This place has little future for anyone actually trying to change this place and to make it exciting or fun. It's heaven's waiting room for people who just hated their life, and others lives, and have money somehow.

It's beyond over-rated, and there's nothing to do and the beach isn't even relatively "close" so I don't understand why people would spend top dollar to live here. It's just the name and appearance of "Estero" and how it looks that make people want to come here, but the infrastructure is terrible.

The running theme of South Florida is ALL about looks -- on the inside, it is crummy. And it shows, especially to the smart.

Sounds like Century, FL up here in the panhandle.
