I am planning a vacation withing the month to Florida, prefer gulf, south area. Can anyone give me heads up on cheaper hotels, nice and safe area.
Fort Meyers and down. Miami possibly, don't know that area so info good on that as well.
The cold in MN is just that.....cold!!!
Want hotel on the beach with view to just relax and walk the beach, sand, and soak up the heat.
We plan to rent a car so we can drive to restaurants and shopping if needed.
Thank you so much for the help. When looking on line, you get a list a mile long and don't know who or which ones to trust. I just want to spend a few days in a nice beach front hotel without giving up my first born.

You defiently want to be in south Florida as it is still somewhat winter here. Central and north Florida can and will have temps in the 40s and 30s.

My honest advice if going in the water and heat is all you want see if there are any deals for places like Puerto Rico or Dominican Republic. The weather in Miami and places like Napales or Key West will likely be good in the high 70s during to day high/mid 60s at night but it sure would suck if you were unluckily and got here during a cold snap and get 50s daytime and low 40s at night.

Key West won't get into the 40s though. The farther south you go the better chance of gettin that heat.
