Yes, you are right on that. Houston, SA, Austin, Dallas all had a majority vote for Obama. It's weird though because the conservatives seem to have more of an impact on culture in those cities anyway. It's hard to explain unless you've experienced it. It shows just how big the state is because the major cities' votes still couldn't match the republican votes from the rest of the state.

Never said anything about Houston or Dallas being great. I've never even been to either. Miami is a dump in the downtown area though and many others.

Brickell? Seriously? Have you been to Miami in the last 5-10 years? I'd argue it has the best downtown along with Orlando in the whole state

I would say for old charm, Texas Austin/ San Antonio

For modern hip - Florida
Miami/Fort Lauderdale/West Palm

Nice peaceful Florida: St Augustine and Clearwater and Sarasota

not Brickell...I was talking about the main downtown area, the area south of overtown. brickell is just a boring area though
