The temperature and humidity would also be a major issue. Law enforcement will, probably - with time, go ask what you're doing and probably talk about loitering (FL law violation).

It's possible but not recommended at all. If you do it, live in a comfortable minivan (recent model if possible) with dark tinted windows (but within FL laws' limits).

Talking The Gator Boys!!!

The Gator Boys is a T.V. show based in Florida......where 2 guys run around catching gators who have made it into someone's back yard...pool...etc......so "to call in a gator" is usually a homeowner who calls their business and reports a alligator invading their property...to which they respond and catch the gator moving the animal to safe location...

Watch the show before you start living in you car...

If you had a disaster where you lost your job, home, etc, and you didn't want to live on the streets, and fortunately have a car, you would live in your car too.......Gotta start somewhere.

If this happened to you, would you still say "What decent woman would ever want to be involved with a guy like me?"

I lived in my car over 2 yrs ago, because I got tired of being under other peoples' "roof" and nonsense, and had my own electric, lights, computer, fan, and heatpad for survival. I gave in to peer pressure later and moved under someones' roof (storage shed) again, only to have them spitefully burn it down with all my stuff inside. YEARS of LIFE and EFFORT GONE!

If I would change ANYTHING, I would have STAYED living in my car, as I'm worse off now. I should have invested every last $$$ into building a big battery bank for my car instead, but I'm on the ball now. My car is now setup for 5 batteries, and I have a 1500W power inverter now! I'm staying somewhere now, but already prepared to leave!!!

If I find a home now, I'll have electricity for it until I can add the utility. I'd rather live with less and have freedom, then deal with constant stupidity from a human being for being under their "roof"!!!

Of course you can live in your car here.

Plenty of homeless do it.

Most property owners don't want someone living out of their car parked on their property, so you're going to have to find a place to park where the owners don't mind. Many cities prohibit sleeping on the public right of way as a way to combat the homeless sleeping on sidewalks and next to the street, and if the city has such an ordinance, you would still be violating it if you're in a car if its parked on the side of the road or on a public street.

Can it be done? Yes. Is it safe? No. Is it a way to either get yourself potentially victimized or in trouble? Absolutely.

Instead of living in your Car, focus on money $$$$.
Get a job and make $$$$, then buy a home for yourself.
Hello ??

What if you parked the minivan in the visitor's parking space in apartment complexes? Would that be pretty safe?

I have a relative who has spent most of his adult life living out of old vans and even tents. He travels around the country and works a job here and there for a while, moving on when he wants a change.

He always seems happy when he visits, and he always has stories to tell! Yes, he is single and will probably never marry. He is in his 50s and just loves living on the road and going on adventures.

He has a master's degree in chemistry, so he could work a "real job" and make a decent living but he chooses not to.
