I say yes...but a van would be better...

There are showers at all the beaches to rinse the sand off...so if you don't mind a cold shower you could always bring a bar of soap and wash up...some larger truck stops offer showers as well...

A small charcoal grill...a few towels...a beach chair and you are all set...after all...we all started off in caves or less in the early years...

When July comes around you will be grateful for an opportunity to pay rent and not roast in that car.

Where would you park to sleep? Is there any open land?

No way. The heat and humidity get unbearable. Even in the "winter" it's still pretty hot down here. I don't know where you would park to sleep unless it was at a rest area or something. This would be a very unwise decision.

Find a 24 hour supermarket...walmart...or anything other than a small store parking lot...one of my stepson's friends parked his car 24/7 at a local walmart for his 1st year of college when you are not allowed to have a vehicle...no one every said a thing...

I have to agree with everyone else though...it is not really the way to go...unless you get a small camper...they had a special on one of those unknown channels on T.V. where people would pull into a state park and park their trailer for free and live for free...of course...no power..no bathroom...no shower...etc....but free...

They had something on the animal planet-The Gator Boys- where someone was living in his trailer on state land and called in a gator...basically, he pulled up...parked...and lives rent free...not much of a life though....

What does it mean to call in a gator?

drive the van up north for the summer to Maine, back down to FL for the winter. Problem solved. Maine is cool with plenty of forest where you can just disappear in the summer. I'd convert a van if I was going to do that.
