So far 80-20, in favor of disapproval.

State is in much better shape than it was when he took office. I know many people would say that is because of Obama. Those same people would say it was Scott's fault if it was doing worse. I am not even talking about the economy. The state budget is doing well. Only complaint I have is State Attorneys don't make enough money. The high school educated police officers arresting criminals make more money than most of the attorneys who are charged with charging them and putting them in jail. Makes no sense and throws a lot of good attorneys away from the job after two years or away from applying at all.

That was a matter of good timing as the worst of the recession was over and there was no where to go but up. He's slashed spending and services wherever possible which isn't a good thing despite what the tax avoiding zealots say, looked out for his own best interests first as evidenced through initiatives such as mandatory drug testing for state employees already employed which occur largely through his wife's clinic (Solantic or whatever they've changed their name to) and infamously turned down federal infrastructure funds which the state desperately needed for jobs and transportation projects so he could make a weak (and meaningless) Tea Party statement to the President they can't stand and do everything to contradict no matter the consequences to everyone else. Yeah, he's a real catch.

Middle school educated OTR truck drivers tasked with driving stuff around earn more than police.

Yes I do approve Rick Scott. Like him or hate he has turned the turned Florida around. Even with Obama handicaps that his policies and the Democratic party have imposed. Scott has done a good job in reducing the size in State Gov, thus we have net gain in the treasury.

The High speed rail is a good ideal in bring outside investors in instead of a tax payer totally on the hook. Linking our Great Cities with the Tourism Equation and the problem of folks who do not have regular transportation. the transit authority just need to charge a fair price to maintain it and make it self efficient.

There is more work to be done . More Industrial grow and a net gain in wages to keep up with the cost of living.

The nit picky politics that people bring up is useless and counter productive. Let's all be less PC. Look a problems in the mind set of a solution!
Political Correctness Its killing us!

Do want FHP Trooper impaired? Probably not!

Do you want State Employees to be impaired? The private sector does for health and safety reasons , not mention to reduce premiums on business insurance. Do you realize how much productivity a business and State Gov, loses on a workman Comp .claim.

Employment by the State does not drive the States Economy on a large scale. What drives business in the outside sector that drives wages and the quality of one's life and Family. You pro Gov guys kill me with your micro Economics.

Let's think Macro!

Job creation promises that will never be realized...

Create over 700,000 jobs

"The 7-step economic program — over a 7-year period — will have a positive economic impact and create over 700,000 jobs for the state of Florida."

"For Scott to keep his word, Florida would need to add 26,000 jobs a month, every month, through 2017. The state has only done that once since Scott took office, in April 2011."

PolitiFact Florida | Scott-O-Meter: Create over 700,000 jobs

Too bad "job creation" is not clearly defined, that is a promise of less Wal-Mart/McDonalds jobs and more STEM/higher paying jobs...

He started out well but has been proven to be another corrupt politician. I support Tallrick for governor, and no one else. I would eliminate government waste and push for less government, starting with marijuana legalization. Oh and eliminate gay adoption bans. When it comes to new big government and special interest laws I have one word, VETO!
