Niceville was named by Business Week magazine as the best place to raise a family (2012). The Best Places to Raise Your Kids 2012 - Great schools and low crime - Businessweek Niceville has what are probably the best public schools in the state.

I think I've pretty much seen every inch of beach in the state of Florida, with the exception of the Keys. There is simply no comparison...Destin/Sandestin is the very best stretch of beach I've seen in the state. It's "touristy," though. So if conjested traffic and sometimes short-tempered tourists irritage you Destin might not be your choice.

If you want nice beaches with less of the hassle that comes with heavy tourism I'd suggest you look within that 50-mile stretch east of Panama City.

A lot of people overlook the state capital for some reason, however its one of the very best places to live.

Incredible Parks,

20-30 minutes from the coast.

Very hilly, natural canopy roads

Excellent quality of life, and good schools.

Thing is most people moving from out of state have this idea that they have to live in a beach city or somewhere right on the water.

You will be glad you came to Tallahassee.

We have all the south florida people who wanted to escape the rat-race.

Its funny you didn't enjoy naples.. While naples can be described and characterized just as it is.

Naples- A place for NY/NJ snowbirds and retirrees, to enjoy the rest of their lives in peace.

Its full of rich, retired people.

Lots of condos and ritzy establishments.

I went on the pier, and loved it!

If I had a choice of where to move in florida (and i will in a few years when i graduate grad school)

I will probably try the Space Coast, St Pete, or Jacksonville/St Augustine.
