Despite TV/film portrayals of life in Miami, it's not one big party. Miami is a major world class city with a large population of working professionals, especially in the Downtown area.

As for homes, real estate is expensive here espcially near or on the water. Brickell and Downtown is only getting better too with some great projects being built.

As for taxes there is no state income tax in Florida but property taxes are not cheap. With your income you can enjoy Miami plenty. And Miami is not all about partying.
agreed with Brickell. Well-developed downtown area, near water, and obviously near high-end shopping.

This isn't the typical poster that needs to have the video played. If his move turned out bad he has the means to move without being a burden.

I also agree with Brickell.

We are also considering just buying land too.

Thanks again!
There is not much near anything. If you want to be near the water, near shops, and in a walking friendly area buying "land" will likely not be possible. You could maybe find some empty lots in good areas but they are pricey. Of course you could also buy a home and tear it down. But don't expect much of anything if you look for land. Especially large plots of land, that would be virtually non-existent.
