4-You are never more than an hour from some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, like South Beach.
5-It has the best mass transit in the state. While that is not a huge accomplishment, you have many different types of transit, like light rail, heavy rail, and buses.
6-It has the most dynamic city in the state. Miami is the most entertaining, and interesting city in Florida. You have all of the big 4, 3 big concert arenas, the beach, and fantastic restaurants.
7-Finally, it has easy access to other areas, like the keys, the caribbean, and through the airport, NY, DC, Atlanta ETC.
Glad you like it. Maybe you'll stay there.

Not really. Your thread proclaims " Why South Florida is the best part of Florida". Nothing about best metro area. I would gladly accept your premise if it included that disclaimer.

Personally I wouldn't how live in Miami. I'd much rather Palm Beach if given a choice by far.

2-Schools are good. Miami-Dade has fantastic magnet programs, and Broward, and Palm Beach have top 500 in many areas such as Boca Raton, Parkland, Weston, and Palmetto Bay. I think some are good, sure. And some are bad, just like anywhere else, right?
3-It is diverse. It has so many different cultures down there, and of course the food associated with it. Does diversity equate to better quality of life? Everyone speaking different languages, different customs... seems like that would make everyday life frustrating/challenging.
4-You are never more than an hour from some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, like South Beach. Agreed.
5-It has the best mass transit in the state. While that is not a huge accomplishment, you have many different types of transit, like light rail, heavy rail, and buses. Mmmkay.
6-It has the most dynamic city in the state. Miami is the most entertaining, and interesting city in Florida. You have all of the big 4, 3 big concert arenas, the beach, and fantastic restaurants. Dynamic and interesting... hahaha... yea, interesting for sure... if thats what you wanna call it!
7-Finally, it has easy access to other areas, like the keys, the caribbean, and through the airport, NY, DC, Atlanta ETC.
But such a long/grueling drive if driving to north FL, Atlanta, the Carolina's, etc.

My points in bold... just giving some feedback is all.

In north Jersey which is a metro area of NYC you won't find a cheap one bedroom in a sketchy area for what you can rent a decent one bedroom here for.

Supply and demand?
