Your odds of getting hit in Florida just bumped up a smidge.

For the last 3 or 4 years there has been a stray big white off the coast at times. One was spotted off Sebastian Inlet and they were tracking one off the Volusia/Brevard County coast. I think the link was posted on CD last year because I saved it to watch. Might still have it on the other computer. Wonder if it is the same one.

Quote from News 13 " On a Tankful" from Scott this morning; " You are more likely to fly in space and become the pope than get bit by shark" Sort of fits this topic. <g>

More room in the ocean for me if these chickens are too afraid to go in the water lol. I'm not complaining.

Not the same one. This one was tagged off Cape Cod and this is the farthest south she's been. That other shark wasn't nearly this big judging from the video I saw. Big enough to take a decent chunk of human steak, all the same.

I'll still be going in the ocean when it's calmer. Having been slam-dunked by a rogue big wave a few months ago, I do tend to wait for smaller waves now (plus, of course, it's a tad chilly in the water at the moment). The one "sissy" concession I do make is to wear "water shoes" when at the beach, because if there's one sharp object waiting to be stepped on, my feet *will* find it.

I still return twice a year to see friends and family and partake of the great fishing the area has to offer.

From article today- Catherine, the great white tagged up North off Massachusettes this year has been spotted off the coast of Cape Canaveral and will probably be of the coast of Cocoa Beach tomorrow. .

Here in Vero Beach I guess we better start doing the "Jaws" theme when we head to the beach. It's only a matter of time til she gets here ! Thanks for the update.

She's not liking the warm water and is backtracking to the north.
