What is your price range? Inexpensive can cover a wide area.

Florida is a great place to live -- with a wide range of markets, price-ranges for homes and options. There are at least a hundred threads on this subject under the Florida forum of CD. Here is a quick overview:

The Palmetto bug issue is vastly over-rated -- In 40+ years, I don't think I've found more than 2-3 INSIDE a home. The call them "Palmetto bugs" because they inhabit Palmetto scrub/trees.

Is there anything between Sebastian and Vero where you can get between 1/2 to 1 acre lot? Not crazy about the idea of being bound by HOA fees.

All depends on what you are into. We have the coastal life, we have rural/country life, we have urban life. Big state, lots of diversity. Take a trip down here and see whta ya think. We are always open for business.
