what I find interesting is the number of businesses who require their staff (customer representatives) to have their previous state address on their name tags. I asked why? The individual called it a conversation starter; sort of bonding, I guess. I've been in many states and don't recall such a consistent practice within them. Just interesting.

Ive seen it in Las Vegas, not really a new thing

I can't say I have ever seen that. Other than hotel or resort workers who came from other states or countries to work in those locations.
