South Florida isn't for everyone; nobody's denying that. Anyone considering a move here really needs to do their due diligence. The area has all the urban problems you'd expect in a metro area of 5.5 million people. Too many people are rude. The cost of living is high and salaries are low. The economy is too dependent on real estate and tourism. Families with kids might be better off elsewhere. Going by that line of thinking, we should think that Central Florida is a horrible place because a hard-partying sociopath like Casey Anthony who somehow beat the rap for a heinous crime lived there. Sorry, that logic doesn't work; I'm not buying.
If you like where you live, I'm happy for you. One of the wonderful things about Florida is that it's a big state and there's a wide range of places to live; almost anyone who can do without mountains, deserts or cold weather can find a good spot. To each his/her own. For some of us, that means Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach, warts and all. As the previous poster said, South Florida is here to stay (unless oceans rise a few feet, in which case most of us in Florida are in the same boat, no pun intended). It has survived hurricanes, real estate busts, race riots, crooked politicians ... you name it. It can certainly survive whatever is said on City-data.com.

Poll went the way most of us thought it would.
If you took the time to read it and watched it, those who noticed it was not going their way raced in to start a dog fight purposely to get it close down.

Would have been much worse had it continued on schedule.
What other word would I use in the place of that because the direct personal attacks because of my opinions are from people of hate. One even admitted voting for the town I am going to move to and gave himself away by doing so.
