That doesn't really help people who don't own property. Lots of young people in Florida have been priced out of the housing market, sandwitched between the rock and hard place of low salaries and high real estate costs.

That is true, but we are talking about: Eliminate ALL Florida property taxes???

I understand there are 16 or 26 cities in FL that do not have city property taxes. Does anyone know which cities these are?

Also, how do they pay for their schools?

I would think it would come from the county tax.... all cities are in a county...

Panama City, FL is one of 24 cities in FL that has NO city property tax.

I doubt there is a square foot of property in Florida you can own and not be subject to taxes. What difference does it make who collects it?
