Is there a tick infestation in Palm Coast?
I have had my boxer for 3 years now and in that time he only had about 4 ticks.
He gets the K9 advantix ll Treatment.
I just applied another treatment six days ago.
Every time I take him for a walk he is getting about 6 to ten ticks on him. ( regardless to which direction I take him.) I also spray him with a tick spray. When I take him to relieve himself , we are only out for about 3 or 4 minutes.
He is a house dog, and only goes out when I take him.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Would be careful about applying a topical to him as well as spraying him w/ a tick spray, it's prob. overkill and can harm your dog. I understand your frustration, would talk to other dog neighbors and prob. spray your lawn. It's possible the K9 Adv. is not working that well, that's happened w/ Frontline Plus as well, would call your vet or possibly post in the Pet/Dog section toward the bottom of the forum, best of luck

We treat our dog for ticks and fleas and it works fine. I believe we use K9 Advantix 2. Frontline doesn't work here. We don't let him run in the grass or weeds, we walk him on a leash. We do have a heck of a problem with deer flies owing to the deer population in the neighborhood. More of an issue for humans and deer than pets.
