This is a more adequate comparison

Obviously if it's between living and working in Florida versus the Northeast, hands down Florida wins (warm weather, low taxes, friendlier people, more for your money, palm trees, night life, shopping, the beach, easier living, year round growing season)

But what about comparing Florida life for those convicted of a felony in state prison with the 1 hour exercise

Versus a life living/working but in Massachusetts or Vermont

Would it be a close call?

You would still have the warm weather, palm trees through the cell block windows, greenery year round is what I'm saying

Dude I love Florida way more than I probably should, but I'll take my freedom anywhere over prison in paradise.

ppl need to stop with this "warm weather and palm trees" crap

Having a palm tree in your line of vision doesn't improve or make your life any better. This is such a stupid question.

Agreed. But I don't consider myself a FL lover. As a native, palm trees and warm weather gets tired n boring fast. I also don't really find ppl overly friendly anymore, those folks have moved to the Carolina's.

Massachusetts and Vermont embarrass Florida in just about every QOL metric.

The comparison is ridiculous, being free anywhere is desirable. Now if it was prison in New England or Florida, I'd take New England hands down. Very few FL prisons are air conditioned so just shut the AC off in your house for a week and see if you can hack it, lol.

Not if you're successful. "tax"achussetts and borderline communist VT are pretty consficatory when it comes to your wallet.

Yeah, if you need social programs and free healthcare, you are probably right. States like FL and TX don't score well for people looking for handouts and free stuff that's with me

Yeah, too bad most people in Florida and Texas aren't educated, though, and I'm guessing you're not either.

And in case you're unaware, Southern states are the biggest "takers," if you will. In the simplest terms possible (not that you'd be able to comprehend anything more complex), most Southern states receive more money in federal spending than they pay in taxes, meaning that they take more money from the federal government than they put in. Therefore, it can be argued that an educated, hard-working, high-income Californian or New Yorker is indirectly subsidizing the livelihood of a welfare queen in Alabama or Louisiana.

What about being locked up in a prison in Jamaica over living free in Florida? In Jamaica, you get more greenery and more warm weather.
