Just wondering if anyone knows of any restaurants in Gainesville that are open on Christmas day? Thanks in advance! Merry Christmas!

This is a tourist state so probably more restaurants are open down here than in many area. Almost everything stays open in the major tourist areas like Orlando, Tampa, the beaches etc., but Gainesville is sort of just a more residential/college town so wasn't sure what would be open. I did find this article and there is quite a few places open with varying types of food and dinners. A handful of restaurants are open to serve you on Christmas. Also I suggest checking with all the hotels that have restaurants because a lot of the hotels will have traditional Christmas Dinners available.

There's always that story that Jews go out to eat at Chinese restaurants on Christmas, so I would check those out.

You can also go to a Hotel restaurant. I once worked for a large chain hotel near an international airport and locals would frequent the restaurant too. They have to be open because there are guests staying there 24/7 365.
