Had you even visited NH during the winter months? It seems to me you had no idea what NH was going to be like in the winter. At least I KNEW what Florida summers were like because I had lived here before DURING THE SUMMER.

You didn't do your homework.

Now tell me how you would feel if you had to move BACK to NH? Would it make you happy to be back there?????

oh my god! i love it here! the sun and the heat! the large and beautiful birds! the palm trees and constant greeness of everything! the water (it's everywhere!). the frogs! the cutie pie lizards! the mix of people! the constant calendar of things to do! the knowledge that cold and snow will NEVER arrive (well, except for 2 days ago!)

Oh believe me I did my homework 2 years of planning.. And yes I was in NH for winter months. Visiting the snow, and having fun, and having the person your staying with shovel and pay the heat and electric is a TOTALLY different ball game than doing it yourself day in , day out, day in day out. But when you're on vacation thats the last thing on your mind, you think to yourself its fine we'll be able to handle this. But when its YOUR pipes freezing, and YOUR car stuck in a snow bank, and YOUR steps that need to be shoveled its no longer fun.

My husband had every clue in the book what it was going to be like, he lived in Maine for 11 years, very close to Canada.. He was just like you, hated Naples with a PASSION. Wanted the snow and cold soooooo bad.. Came back, 3 weeks into december and 40 inches of snow later and he turns to me and says "Now I remember why I lived in Florida" , so that tells me someone who like him and you preached about how great it is up north and the winter was wonderful, and he moved BACK to it, and still hated it.

If I had to move back to NH would I be happy.. Probably not. HOWEVER I would make the best of what I've got, I'd still go out and take photos of everything I see, and visit museums.. I might not be able to in the winter but sometimes you just have to be a big girl, suck it up and deal with what you have till you can change it. Sooo until I move back to Florida, I'm going to do what I can, still take walks when I can and take care of everything that needs to be done. I can't stop my life because I hate the place I live.

after living in Florida. I moved back for 30 years of winters. Never once in all that time did I ever say I wanted to come back, unlike your husband did.

But then as my daughter keeps posting, NYC Metro area winters are not at all like NH, Vermont, or Maine.

after our 4th storm. Same bench, only the other side of it. Yah thats just the top of it. the rest is still to this day nowhere to be found!

I think that's more snow than I saw in Cortland in upstate NY when i went away to school, lol. I'm ok with snow, but that's just too much.
