“I have a message today to the people of New York, Illinois, California, Pennsylvania and others: Move to Florida!” Scott said in prepared remarks released by his office on Monday.

errr, do we really need to tell people this? I don't have issues with people moving here on their own accord, but to be screaming it from the mountain tops? Seems a bit much, considering our population is already swelling.

Stay away Yankees, there's already too many people in Florida as it is. We're now at 20 million and have been growing by 300,000 annually for the past 60 years. Way too many people and way too much growth.

What are we going to do when we've exhausted all of the land to build on? That's already happened in Pinellas County and will happen soon in Broward.

Yanks are one of the biggest contributors to Florida's economy. I dont think we want them to stay away, actually.
I just think for the person who supposedly runs this state telling people to "Move here!" is like way beyond. People are already moving here just fine.

Having lived in Orlando for 12 years, I can honestly say that the growth here needs to slow down. Our infrastructure is nowhere near being suitable for a metro area of over 2 million. I say slow it down, and build a comprehensive expressway network first. Build an alternative to I-4, and an East-West freeway... Or make the 408 a freeway/Interstate, as had originally been intended.

Florida is already full of these types. FL and CA should see if Texas wants them.

lots of ppl are moving here already, but luckily many ppl are leaving. so the net gain isnt as big as you may think. Oregon, NC and SC are growing (net) more than FL is.
