Everyone knows that wealth inequality is everywhere. If you bothered to read the thread you will see that Florida has a very high percent of inequality. Like 4th in the nation.

But then you changed it and you said it's actually #8? Dude, are you ok? What difference does this make? The entire country has a problem with inequality. You isolated it specifically to FL because you have issues with the state. Everyone here knows the purpose of your posts.

So what? What difference does it make? This is not a socialist country. If someone makes a ton of money, good for them (as long as they don't commit a crime in doing so.) If someone is poor, that's the breaks. I grew up poor, and made something of my life. We all have glimmers of opportunity, what we choose to do with them is what makes us either stay poor--or not.

Every time I see someone post a thread like this, all I can think is that they are jealous of the success of others. They might use that energy to better themselves.

By the way, I'm in my 50's, and back in school working on what will eventually be (I hope) a Masters Degree. Paying for the entire thing myself. No grants, loans, or parents. Why? Because you can never be smart enough, have enough knowledge, and lifelong learning is the key to success. Anyone who thinks differently is going to stay poor in wallet, mind, and spirit for their entire life.

I was just curious to the reason Florida had such a wide gap. There is no reason to get defensive.

It's the same with that 8to32characters clown, and his campaign against FL (and subsequently for CA).

whaa..whaa...whaaaa.... All the 'wealth inequality' whiners are just people who are too afraid to take the risks that are necessary to build wealth. "If you don't crash now and then, you're not going fast enough" - an old racer's motto. Most people never race either, but they sure do talk a lot about it.

I'm not defensive. You're the one who has a problem with wealth inequality.

I don't really have a problem with it as I've said many times in this thread. I was just curious as to why Florida's income gap was so large. If I could get the troll to leave more people would probably respond.

I already explained that to you. Poor people flock here thinking it will be the end to their problems, and rich people come here for the sunshine and lack of state income taxes.

I suppose you might be right. We've all seen the post on here from folks that have nothing and think Florida is the answer to all their problems. I really didn't want to say this because it would be misconstrued as Florida bashing.

I wonder how many of these 1 percenters actually live in Florida enough to claim residency? I'd imagine it's more of a tax shelter for a lot of them.
