I would think that to get a true sense of how a place is to live, one would need 1-2 years. I myself would need at least 1 year straight. Most people can't just take a leave from there job to rent a house somewhere for a year just to decide if they like somewhere or not. Vacationing here and there will not give a true sense of what it is like to LIVE in an area like Orlando. And once most people do move here, it's like getting caught in an ant lion trap.

This is the reason I would want to move !!

I do enjoy the fall - there is something special about the fall and Thanksgiving and Christmas. But come 12/26 - I don't want anymore cold weather! I must have one of those seasonal depressions because I always get totally bummed out in the winter. I just dislike the snow and being cold all the time. Plus there is so much more laundry!!!!!!

I like hearing about all of the people who miss the bitter cold and mounds of snow in the northeast. Have any of you actually had to work outdoors to make a living in the northeast? Because if you havent, give it try one day and see how long you like it.

I think its fair to say though you can only assume if they are constantly tired of the heat that the only option for them would be to have cold.

I miss 80 degree weather as much as I miss 10 degree weather. We love the snow. We are also getting excited for spring; planting flowers & such and picnics in the summer.

I still go on living my life though regardless of the weather; I am just happier where I am now due to reasons that have nothing to do with weather

Therein lies the tragic flaw that befell you my dear. No, it doesn't. At least not to the extreme that the poster is trying to express....

Well I'm sure they don't want 10 degree extreme cold you gotta be outta your sweet mind to want that, but colder lets say.. 40-50's fair enough ,however I fear you wont be seeing those temps again in Fla..

I have found though, if you live in Fla long enough, you can actually tell a slight difference in the seasons down there. I was able to tell a bit of spring from summer, a bit of autumn from summer etc. Its just that the physical signs that signal those changes of say leaves falling or flowers blooming aren't there. It tricks the mind
