What are some of the safest places to live in Central Florida for a family with children ? I'm looking for a place that is a calm country/rural type of place. I know a friend who lives in Winter Haven FL but I'm not sure if that is the place I would like to live, If anybody can give me more details on Winter Haven that would be nice

You should be posting this in the Orlando forum, you will get better answers there...

Seminole County has fantastic public schools and has areas that are a bit country/rural.

Oviedo, Longwood, Winter Springs are areas to look at for a start.

For more calm/rural you'll want to look at Chuluota or Geneva in northeast Seminole County along with Sanford's far west side in the Sylvan Lake area or the north side of Oviedo bordering Chuluota. All have excellent public schools and are largely safe/family-friendly.
