Tampa has a few Korean restaurants (my favorite cuisine on Earth!). But I don't know how much of a community is actually here. Relative to the rest of America, Florida has very few Asians. Of the Asians that are here, most are from Southeast Asia. In Orlando, the largest group is Vietnamese. In Tampa, the Thais and Laotians are most common. Not many East Asians such as Koreans have made Florida their home.

I live in Tampa, from Miami, lived in the Keys and North Florida. I am also half Korean. The largest Korean community I've seen in this state is in South Broward Co. And Miami. I don't see where a previous poster says Tampa has a large Korean community, there is a large Filipino community here as far as I've seen.
I would say your best bet is Miami or Ft. Lauderdale and south of there.
Loads of Asian supermarkets and Korean restaurants and everything.

Tampa has 1 Korean restaurant-Sa Ri One on Cypress. It's a hole in the wall which is ashamed. Also, food isn't bad but could be better.
Any other place that may serve one or two Korean dishes is not a Korean restaurant, it's a mix.
Hands down-South Florida, Miami-Dade and Broward Co.

Yes, Thai, Viet's, and Filipino's are majority here (Tampa)

I go to Sa-Ri-One at least once a month. The food is amazing. And there are three other Korean restaurants in town that we enjoy as well, such as Rice on Hillsborough blvd and the One Korean Family restaurant on Hillsborough.

Isn't that a mix? I was meaning a Korean restaurant that serves nothing but Korean food.
Sa Ri One is OK. But when you are Korean and have Korean family members who cook all so awesome, you realize that Sa Ri One isn't awful but isn't superb either.
Can you elaborate on Rice? I heard that was a mix of asian foods.

Rice is a little mix, but not much.

One Korean family is right across the street from Rice. It is authentic Korean and is even next door to a Korean grocery store.

On the east side of Tampa there is the Soul of Korea restaurant. I like Sa Ri One the best and it is closest to where I live.
