How could we change the Governor election so it is in the same year as the Presidential?

More people vote then and it would better represent what Floridians want.

If people are too lazy to vote a couple times every 4 years then they have no business voting, that's my two cents.

Obviously the results of the last gubernatorial race did reflect what the majority of Floridians wanted, since these races are decided by the majority vote. Get over it.

Agreed. Considering the poor turnout for even presidential elections and the American public's refusal to support third party candidates, they deserved to be screwed by both parties.

And yes both parties ********* you

Sorry, but that's a terrible idea. The most important, and influential elections in our daily lives, are the small local ones. If we move bigger elections to the same year as the Presidential election, even fewer people will come out for the local elections - which are the ones that actually impact their town. It is sad that American citizens are so ignorant of our history and governmental process, and so callous to the right to vote which people around the world continue to give their lives just for a chance at.

If Floridians were so unhappy with their choice, experiences like this would spur them on to make sure they and everyone they know get to the polls EVERY YEAR. Since Floridians continue to be apathetic, however, I seriously doubt they are that unhappy, or really care. If you care about your country, your state, your local community, and your life, you will go out of your way to be sure to vote every single year. If you don't, you won't.

Read the Constitution and at least some of the Federalist Papers on checks and balances.

We are blessed with at least some sort of balance of political power in this country, and at various levels, not perfect, but more or less the way the Founding Fathers wanted it.

This question is usually arises when the election process has been completed. But frankly speaking, we should do our duty for choosing deserving candidate as the form of good contribution and the betterment future of our nation.

It would also help if our preselected candidates were good ones, but alas...

Yes your point is really commendable in which you discuss the problem of changing the behavior of government after voting, for the betterment of country future it’s our responsibility to check the management of voting procedure properly, there should be the proper management of high security, facility to handle election material suppliers or transportation election material suppliers or transportation and the type of equipment which is selected by the election organizers should be the public showcase for the assurance of equipment efficiency and also for the sense of public responsibility.
