Not going yet, but just planning, money is tight!

Wanting to go next year, probably to Orlando, because our daughter has never had a holiday.

Many thanks in advance, for any information.

Always a smart idea to plan ahead! How old is your daughter, and what time of year do you want to visit?

Weekdays at some parks are cheaper than weekends. Buying multi-day tickets usually cheaper than buying 1 day. Use the websites of the parks to watch for deals they may be having during the time you want to be in Orlando.
Things are changing again at Disney and might be charging more at peak times than at slower times. Doing the surveys to see what people thinks.
They already charge a little more to go to the MK than the other 3 parks so can save a little by going to the other parks.

Look at Underground tourist site to buy tickets. They are legit with Disney and can save you a little on tickets.

Whatever you do, do not get scammed into going to a timeshare presentation for free tickets.

Any of the Orlando parks and Busch Gardens, $100 just to walk thru the gate.

It's ridiculous. I think Florida residents get a discount, but I don't know if you need to buy a special 3 day pass or season ticket or something to get it.

Residents can get a discount to Disney but only on the year pass or when they offer the special 3 or 4 day pass which is good for a short time, I think. If only going for 1 day no discounts.

another warning.....don't buy tickets from the guys that come up to your car at the 7-11 etc. offering tickets for a low price. They are selling tickets they bought from people who didn't use all their days....but there is no way to tell if there is really a day left on them until you go to the park and try to use them. Besides that multi-day passes are linked to a name and sometimes they ask for your ID at the gate.

I would plan $100 for each adult ticket(think 9 or 10 yr olds need the adult ticket) . Plan another $30 per person for a meal/snacks/ drinks at the minimum. You can ask for free glasses of water; but you have to stand in the food lines to get them. You can also bring in bottles of water and snack food or sandwiches in a back pack or small soft sided cooler. No regular coolers or wagons allowed. If you have small kids, bring your own stroller because renting one is expensive.
