Yikes!!! Aside from dingy strip clubs, there isn't much to do at night in Daytona. I suggest you just drive down I4 to Orlando for that.

Maybe it's changed in recent years (although I doubt it) but any time my wife and I have weekended in the area, we'd go looking for places like that to hang out at night. We are yet to find anything worth a nod. There was one venue some young locals had suggested we check out. I believe it was on Main St. The building itself was decent, there was a sizable dance floor and a typical bar in the middle. They were playing club music. The place was completely dead, though.

There's only ONE night club in Daytona worth anything these days. It's on Seabreeze Blvd and it's called "Razzles". Other the that just a bunch of bars which are all 21+. Contrary to popular belief, Daytona Beach is not the party spot it was in the 80's & 90's. It's not really a tourist town anymore. It's now a "special events" town. Aka quiet unless a special event is in town. NASCAR, Bike Week, Spring Break, etc.

Have you been to Orlando recently? Downtown Orlando on any given weekend is a party zoo, I-Drive has good nightlife, and then you still have City Walk right down the road. Nightlife in Orlando is actually pretty good. And no, I didn't grow up here... Actually grew up in a city with much better nightlife than LA. To say Orlando doesn't have a good club scene is ignorant though.

Arrow Local Advice From A Local!

Because you're under the legal drinking age makes it tough to go to the most popular dance clubs in town where alcohol is served. Daytona is pretty strict these days on the underage drinking because of some pretty sad people doing some really outrageously sad and stupid things in the past that involved the kind of pain and suffering attorney's like to sue your parents for all they're worth these days.
If you're attending a local college, there are many parties, dances and concerts either on or off campus. There are at least several raves each year that are advertised through social media.
But overall, you'll find people are more "active" here doing sports, interests and hobbies to socialize -- then just clubbing. Daily life here revolves around the water and usually good weather.
A lot of people in this age range play instruments, have jam sessions at garages/warehouses or go to open mic nites that change regularly -- check out Backstage Pass Magazine for venues:

They also surf, skateboard, ride jet skis, go fishing on bridges, boats or piers. People also can be serious here about their billiards -- or just have some fun.
There are free concerts during summer months on Saturday nights at the Bandshell with fireworks afterwards. A lot of people go more to people watch and meet people -- instead of just the music.

You also qualify for student rate or even free tickets to shows, concerts, races and sports events that can sell out pretty quickly.
I don't understand all the posts about no nightlife in Daytona. There is plenty to do here -- you just have to know where the people are on which day at what time. If there is a big concert, show or event -- everyone will be there and most places will be empty until after it's over.
If all else fails to capture your excitement factor, I suggest you try zip-line, go Skydiving or Richard Petty Driving Experience:
ZOOMAIR Treetop Adventure Park - Daytona Beach
SKYDIVE DELAND - Home
Daytona International Speedway - Races Tracks - Richard Petty Driving Experience
