Just move your Butt over to the right lane and stay there. Problem solved.

You're not abiding by the law if you don't move to the right for a faster vehicle. That's the point. There is more than one law.

Sounds like the problem is whoever was in the second lane. They must have seen the emergency vehicle and should have known that the driver in the right lane was going to merge in front of them.

I agree with you. When I am traveling 70mph and someone gets up on my tail, he can kiss my a$$, although I do try to move to the right lane when possible, if it is safe.

However, this is NOT THE SUBJECT OF THIS THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, everybody, go back and read my other posts and study the laws in Florida if you live here.

Please allow me to submit for your consideration that if you can't follow such a basic rule of the road as yield to faster vehicles, incidentally one that is in effect world-wide, that you might need retraining.

Think about it.
Think about this. The MOVE OVER law has nothing to do with this. Joey started this thread to discuss a law that tells drivers in the right lane to move to the left when there's an emergency vehicle on the side of the road.

I've already posted 3 times, but I guess I am being ignored.

No one is forcing you to move out of the right lane. You can just slow down for first responders

As for people driving 70 in the high speed lane, get the hell over unless you're passing someone.

If you want to claim something causes more accidents then post a source. Otherwise you're just another random internet dude making crap up on "feels"

I don't have to, because I've lived in FL for over 20 years. It's so different where I'm living in Western NC. People are so polite here. There are many 4 way stops and sometimes it's hard to determine who arrived at the intersection first. Someone will smile and just wave me on as if to say "Have a nice day." Haven't seen anyone flip the bird yet either or yell out of a car window. So either I'm a much better driver all of a sudden, or people in Florida are out of control.
