I have seen several of the presentations that members of Sea Grant have put together in the past of the data tracking marine life changes in relation to ocean temperature and level changes, and it is quite convincing. Animals are dramatically changing their practices, and in many cases dying as a result, due to climate change, in ways that have not altered for hundreds of years, until now they are suddenly changing very rapidly. It is certainly concerning, and worth humans taking a serious look at to see if we can in any way do anything to help. Helping our local environment, after all, is a very selfish pursuit, because we are only helping to prolong our own lives as well as the enjoyment of our descendants in doing so.

Climate change hysteria is a joke and a political agenda many of us are tired of paying for. All you need are just a few facts and this nonsense goes away. You need to get a life, this crap is all you post.

The only people that think it's a joke are the uneducated. Quite similar to the people that opposed the conversion to unleaded gas. Some people simply refuse to believe scientists despite solid empirical data.

Climate change is quite real and humans are driving a large portion of it. This is why current temperatures are rising faster than in any other period in the earth's history. If that doesn't worry you then you're a fool.

Fact is, our current orbit and sun's output our temperatures should be cooling. Not accelerating upward. By all means though, continue to stick your head in the sand. Just don't drown because the sea levels are rising.

There is no convincing data this is true. The earth is 4 1/2 billion years old and there is no accurate method of determining a century or two of temperature change in such a vast time span.

Move along folks. This climate change crap is all a liberal plot to scare you so Obama can take your money. The good folks at Arch Coal have the figures to prove it. I've been fishing the same spot for fifty years and I can tell you for certain that it's no hotter in that spot and the water is no higher than it was back in the 60s. The water level actually dropped a good four feet in a few hours yesterday.

The Intertribal Panel on Weather Change (IPWC) states that it is "very likely" that the increased number of tribes on the continent and their associated camp-fires are producing too much smoke in the atmosphere. "This smoke, based on our empirical data, is trapping heat which, as our brothers to the north have reported, is resulting in glacial retreats from the great plains area and decreasing land mass in Florida. Based on our historical need to move our villages further and further inland, and the salt-water intrusions into our springs, we believe that sea-level rise will one day reduce our land mass by as much as half, and Florida, as we know it, may one day have coastlines as far inland as Tampa and Daytona."

Asked if there are solutions to keep the seas from encroaching on the land, the IWPC said that the answer is obvious--fewer campfires. While fewer campfires might not immediately result in sea-level stabilization, it is a necessary step.

Although there is great agreement among the tribal leaders on the cause of the coastline changes, there are still some who deny the causation. Pointing to the belief that the land mass of Florida was once much smaller than it was when our forefathers first arrived, some say that sea-levels have changed greatly since the time the Earth was first created by the Great Spirit, and those changes could not have been induced by camp fires. Those "deniers" were promptly expelled from the lands for daring to question the IPWC's decision.
