We are both late 40s, work from home, no kids and want to live in an area that is not predominantly blue collar, not too crowded and reasonable cost of living. Which place is better. In PSL, I am a little concerned about the Nuc power plant being so close with such a poor safety record.

We moved to PSL in September. We are both in our late 40's, no kids. We love the area but I will say that I don't know anything about Ormond Beach (I'm not even sure where it is).

The nuc plant doesn't concern me at all...but then I lived a few miles from Three Mile Island so.

Since you work from home there are other places to consider beside Ormond or PSL.

What are some other things you are looking for?

Ormond is part of Daytona so you will have Bike Week, Biketoberfest and Spring Break( somewhat).

PSL has more snowbirds, there are more South Florida refugees... people leaving Miami, Ft Lauderdale to find someplace less crowded, or less Spanish speaking.

PSL is newer, Ormond is more established. Both cities are close to rundown older towns ( Holly HIll for Ormond, Ft Pierce for PSL)

Do you have family you want to be near? PSL is farther south. Ormond is close to Orlando and Jacksonville and shorter drive to places out of state
